Enrichment Programs

Committee Members

Mary Tramonte, Chairperson         mttramonte@gmail.com

The committee is very much in need of new members, so please contact Mary if you would like to help make the enrichment programs run smoothly, particularly on event days. It's a lot of fun and a great way to interact with the faculty and staff as well as the Hurld students.

The PTO Hurld Enrichment Committee is a collaboration between the parent and teacher communities whose goal is to broaden our children’s appreciation of the arts and sciences. Enrichment works to bring programming into the school to enrich and enhance the curriculum. This is achieved through school-wide assembly programs and grade appropriate assembly or classroom programs that welcome professional musicians, actors, storytellers, dancers, scientists, writing specialists, map cartographers, and authors.

Your ideas are welcomed and very much desired! In addition to paid programs, there are many free and worthwhile educational as well as health and fitness related enrichment programs out there that the PTO may not know about. So if you know of any, please contact Mary (mttramonte@gmail.com) or a PTO Board Member (officers@hurldpto.com.) The same goes for any kind of available educational grants as well. The PTO tries to get as many grants as possible each year, so if your company offers any time of financial support for educational endeavors, please let us know.

We look forward to an exciting year of culturally inspiring programs that support the curriculum. There are already some great programs lined up, both new and those returning and please check back for updates as well as for the Enrichment Update newsletters.

Again, your ideas and input about educational programs as well as assistance on the day of events are welcomed and very much needed. It wouldn't be a lot of time and you would get to see some of the great enrichment programs the Hurld PTO and parents work so hard to be able to bring to our wonderful students....a.k.a. your children!

Thanks very much for your support!
